Messages to Dáil and Seanad.

In accordance with Standing Order 85, the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Joint Committee on Justice, Equality, Defence and Women's Rights has completed its consideration of the motions that Dáil Éireann approves the exercise by the State of the option or discretion provided by Article 1.11 of the Treaty of Amsterdam to take part in the adoption of the following proposed measures: a proposal for a Council framework decision on the application of the principle of mutual recognition to financial penalties, a copy of which proposed measure was laid before Dáil Éireann on 23 September 2003, and a proposal for a Council framework decision on confiscation of crime related proceeds, instrumentalities and property, a copy of which proposed measure was laid before Dáil Éireann on 12 May 2003.

In accordance with standing order 67, the following message will be sent to the Seanad:
