The second item relates to the position in the Seanad. The Order governing the Joint Committee expires on 31 December 1980. Perhaps Senator Robinson would speak to Senator Ryan about having the Order extended.

I do not think there will be any difficulty about this. From the point of view of continuity it would be well to have the matter dealt with before the House adjourns. Then if the Committee meets in the interim the facility would be there.
