Vol. 1 No. 2

[THE ADJOURNMENT.]

When are we to meet next? We have not decided upon that yet.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

Say 3 o'clock to-morrow. You could propose that now.

I propose that the Seanad meet at 3 o'clock to-morrow.

I second that.

Those of us who come from a considerable distance are anxious to know when the business will terminate before Christmas.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

Like yourself I am new to this work, and I do not know the extent of the business that we have to deal with; but, whatever the business is, you must have regard to the exigencies of the Christmas season and the demand it makes upon the time of business men. I would imagine that the amount of work that is to be got through is not so great as to keep us until Christmas. Two or three days' good work will probably free us until after Christmas.

Question put and agreed to:—"That the Seanad stands adjourned until 3 3 o'clock on Wednesday, the 13th December."
The Seanad rose at 5.30 p.m.
