Vol. 1 No. 9

CHAIRMAN'S ABSENCE.

AN LEAS-CHATHAOIRLEACH

I regret to have to announce that Lord Glenavy is unable to be here to-day. He has written to me from London, asking me to apologise to the Seanad for his absence. His daughter, who has been seriously ill, was to have undergone a very serious operation about ten days ago, but, owing to illness, that operation had to be postponed until this week. Lord Glenavy expected to have been back in time to be here to-day, but, unfortunately, he will not be here either to-day or to-morrow. He asked me to apologise to the Seanad and state the reason of his absence.
