The Second Stage of that Bill will be under consideration to-morrow, and it is a matter for the Seanad whether further stages will be dealt with. I understand that Senator Sir John Purser Griffith would prefer to move his motion to-morrow. I think we may take it as certain that we shall have a Bill from the Dáil—the Enforcement of Law (Occasional Powers) Bill—the second stage of which will be considered. I have also received from the Government a copy of an order made by the Executive Council on the 5th instant in connection with the Railway and Canal Commission. It is entitled the Extension of Time Order, 1923. In accordance with Section 7 of the Adaptation of Enactments Act, that has to be laid on the Table of both Houses of the Oireachtas, and in order that it shall come into operation the formal approval of both Houses of the Oireachtas is required. This is also a matter for which we have no Standing Order, but I propose to put a formal motion on the Agenda for to-morrow, in the same way as under our present Standing Orders a Government Bill would be placed automatically on our Agenda.
