Vol. 3 No. 10

SEANAD IN COMMITTEE. - COURSE OF BUSINESS.

Might I ask how long are we to sit to-night? If we are sitting late it will be necessary to make certain arrangements.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

That is for the House. I do not know how long the House is willing to sit.

I propose that the Seanad sit until seven.

If we decide to meet to-morrow at eleven we should adjourn now.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

We will be very busy to-morrow with the three matters I mentioned. The discussion on the Finance Bill deserves very full discussion in view of the protective duties imposed, and many Senators have intimated to me a desire to speak fully on that matter. Then there will be a discussion on the report with reference to the housing of the Oireachtas. There is also the question of the ratification of the Lausanne Treaty. These will take a considerable amount of time.

I think it is important to allow, to-morrow, sufficient time to get through the Bills.

AN CATHAOIRLEACH

We shall see whether we shall finish this by seven o'clock.
