With regard to the Report Stage, at first it was thought by a good many Senators and it was also, I think, the idea of the Minister, that it might be desirable to bring on this stage as early as possible, having regard to the many changes that were made in the Bill, so that they might be more or less fresh in the memory of the House. On the other hand, some of them are so complicated that the Minister is of opinion, and I was going so to suggest it myself to the House, that the House will have great difficulty in following them unless they see them in print. I do not think it will be possible for Senators to have them in their possession in sufficient time to read and understand them if we meet on Wednesday or Thursday next week. Accordingly I suggest to the House that it would be well advised to postpone its next meeting to Wednesday week.
