Vol. 21 No. 3

Order of Business.

I understand an agreement has been arrived at to take item No. 6, Prices Commission (Extension of Functions) Bill, after No. 2, the Finance (Agreement with United Kingdom) Bill, 1938. This is for the purpose of facilitating the Minister for Industry and Commerce.

Might I ask how this agreement was arrived at?

May I suggest that when an agreement is arrived at between different sections in the House in order to facilitate a Minister, the agreement should be unanimously agreed to.

It was through the Clerk that this agreement was made, and he conveyed it in due course to me, so if Senator Douglas's suggestion satisfies Senators, I think we will all be quite happy over it.

Ordered accordingly.
