In regard to items Nos. 1 and 2 on the Riar na hOibre, I understand it has been suggested that, in view of the general election for the Seanad in August, it is unnecessary in this Seanad to proceed with the appointment of the Committees. If that suggestion meets the wish of the House, perhaps a Senator will move for the discharge of the Orders.
Appointment of Committees.
I move:—
(1) That the Order of the day relative to the appointment of the Committee of Selection be discharged.
(2) That the Order of the day relative to the appointment of the Committee on Procedure and Privileges be discharged.
