Vol. 29 No. 19

Minerals Company Bill, 1944—Report and Final Stages.

Government amendment:
In page 4, Section 11, line 20, to delete the words "person being a salaried".

In the course of the discussion in Committee, Senator Duffy raised a question concerning the wording of the section. While it is by no means clear that the amendment is necessary, in order to establish the fact that both salaried officers and employees would have the rights proposed to be conferred by the section, I thought it desirable to have this amendment introduced so as to remove any possible doubt.

Amendment agreed to.
Question: "That the Bill, as amended, be received for final consideration," put and agreed to.
Agreed to take the Final Stage now.
Question: "That the Bill do now pass," put and agreed to.
Bill ordered to be returned to the Dáil.
