Communications have been received from the Secretary of the Department of the Taoiseach that: (1) in exercise of the powers conferred on him under Section 4 (1) of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1946, the Taoiseach on the 2nd July, 1956, assigned the Department of the Gaeltacht to Richard Mulcahy, a member of the Government, and that (2) the Government, on the nomination of the Taoiseach, appointment Patrick J. Lindsay to the office of Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education and Minister for the Gaeltacht with effect as from the 2nd July, 1956.
