Vol. 106 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Brendan Ryan, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The continuing failure of the Department of Health ad hoc committee on the homeless to issue its report.

I also received notice from Senator Mark Killilea of the following matter:

The immediate need for the Minister for Education to finalise the contracts for the building of a new technical school for Tuam, in view of the deplorable conditions of the present school and prefab additions which leak from rain and are a serious health hazard to the pupils and staff attending.

I also received notice from Senator Séamus de Brún of the following matter:

The immediate need for the Minister for Education to proceed with the building of the new vocational school already sanctioned for Castlerea, County Roscommon, to replace the existing school which is totally inadequate and seriously impeding the educational progress of the students in attendance there.

I regard all three matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Killilea's motion for today's Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Brendan Ryan and Senator de Brún may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
