Seanad Éireann díospóireacht -
Wednesday, 28 Oct 1992

Vol. 134 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Naughten that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to outline the reasons for the delay in providing extensions to Ardkeenan and Brideswell national schools, County Roscommon, and a new national school at Curraghboy, County Roscommon.

I received notice from Senator Brendan Ryan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that participation by unemployed people in the vocational training and opportunities scheme remains entirely voluntary.

I also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matter:

The delay in starting work on the reconstruction of the Central Model School, Marlborough Street, and the need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the work begins in 1992.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Naughten, Ryan and Costello as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Naughten's and Senator Ryan's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Costello may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
