Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Ross that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to honour the commitment to provide adequate funding for the Adelaide Hospital and to ensure the ethos of the Adelaide is maintained in the proposed new hospital at Tallaght.

I also received notice from Senator Farrelly of the following matter:

To ask the Minister for the Environment to outline the Government policy on toxic waste disposals in Ireland.

I also received notice from Senator Cregan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to outline the up-to-date position of the report submitted by the Cork Free Port Committee.

I also received notice from Senator Reynolds of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to establish an office of his Department in Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, to deal with headage grants and other agricultural matters.

I also received notice from Senator Cosgrave of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications to give permission to Cablelink networks to show local advertisements which would enable them to provide a full service.

I also received notice from Senator Cotter of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to make a statement on the requirement that a fire certificate be provided with a grant application for cattle housing in view of the huge cost of providing the certificate.

I also received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:

The question of imposing more severe penalties for the use of illegal growth promoters in Ireland.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Ross, Farrelly, Cregan, Reynolds, Cosgrave, Cotter and Enright as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senators Ross' and Farrelly's matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Cregan, Reynolds, Cosgrave, Cotter and Enright may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
