I have also received notice from Senator Mulcahy of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health to provide a heart and lung transplant unit in Ireland in order that such a unit might save the lives of young people suffering from cystic fibrosis and to provide a much improved quality of life for all people suffering from cystic fibrosis.
I have also received notice from Senator Enright of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry to outline the reasons a farmer (details supplied) has been refused a suckler cow grant for 39 cows and a headage payment for 1996 and how he can justify the non-payment of these entitlements to the farmer in question in view of what can only be described as a very minor error on the farmer's part.
I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Taylor-Quinn's and Senator Mulcahy's matters and they may be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Enright may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
