Vol. 165 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Cassidy that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to set up a task force following the closure of Dawn Dairies, Moate, County Westmeath.

I have also received notice from Senator Caffrey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to expedite approval for the Ballina, County Mayo, water supply scheme, stage 3, in view of the serious shortfall of water in Ballina and the need for pipe replacement and a new reservoir.

I have also received notice from Senator Avril Doyle of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to address the delay in setting up a forum on traditional medicines and natural health products.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Cassidy and Caffrey and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Avril Doyle may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
