Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass."

The Minister has been a regular visitor to the House and I wish him and his colleagues well in the forthcoming election. This legislation is timely and will contribute to the enhancement of our democratic process. The debate on the Bill has provided food for thought for future days.

I support Senator Walsh's statement. I wish the Minister the best of luck over the coming weeks and I am sure that, if there was a deposit, his would be returned to him.

I thank all the Senators for their contributions and their good wishes. We will not have to worry about deposits any more; hopefully we will be able to get the 15 to 30 signatures that are required.

Question put and agreed to.
