Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Jim Walsh that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to make a statement on the progress made in the provision of radiotherapy services for cancer treatment at Waterford Regional Hospital.

I have also received notice from Senator McHugh of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline his plans for the inclusion of credit unions in the Consumer Credit Act 1995 and if this new credit directive will be proceeding.

I have also received notice from Senator Kitt of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to include Brierfield national school, Ballinasloe, in the new pilot initiative scheme for primary school improvement works.

I have also received notice from Senator Bannon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism to make a statement on the up-to-date position on the application for the construction of the new swimming pool at the Mall Complex, Longford.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Jim Walsh, McHugh and Kitt as suitable for discussion and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Bannon may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
