Vol. 187 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Keaveney that, on the motion for the adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to give an update in relation to the site acquired in a location (details supplied) and the current status of each of its three constituent parts.

I have also received notice from Senator McFadden of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to outline the plans he has to alleviate the impending water shortages due to climate change.

I have also received notice from Senator Corrigan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to outline the up-to-date position regarding the provision of the much needed second level school for the Leopardstown-Stepaside area.

I have also received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to ensure the recent agreement between the HSE and the pharmaceutical wholesalers is renegotiated.

I have also received notice from Senator McCarthy of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to furnish a report on the up-to-date progress of the much promised and long overdue sewerage scheme in Skibbereen, County Cork; and when he expects the work to be completed.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Keaveney, McFadden and Corrigan and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Ross and McCarthy may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
