Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Kathryn Reilly that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Environment, Community and Local Government to discuss the alignment process and implications for local development companies.

I have also received notice from Senator Fidelma Healy Eames of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to ensure that Irish homeowners are given first right of refusal and a window of time to buy back their own mortgage from any banks selling their loan book and failing that, to ensure that any new foreign bidders buying Irish mortgages have to conform to the Central Bank's code of conduct for mortgages.

I have also received notice from Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh of the following matter:

Go dtabharfaidh Aire Talmhaíochta, Bia agus Mara léargas ar an seasamh reatha atá ag a roinn maidir le forbairt feirm éisc dhomhan mhara ollmhór amach ó Inis Oírr, i gCuan na Gaillimhe agus an bhfuil i gceist aige stop a chur leis i bhfianaise an míshásamh pobail atá léirithe i leith na forbartha.

I have also received notice from Senator Marie Moloney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to outline the role she envisages for the local employment services, with the change in the partnerships and the creation of LCDC and also the rolling out of JobPath.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
