Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Colm Burke that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government to ensure that in this time of modern technology all local authorities will be required to display on their websites the name of the person responsible for a particular area of administration within the organisation, in particular, the individual sections of their housing departments.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Moran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to address the circumstances of an individual (details supplied) who has been diagnosed with locked-in syndrome and is currently in hospital and wishes to be cared for at home.

I have also received notice from Senator Tom Sheahan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection, Deputy Joan Burton, to outline the supports her Department provides for unemployed construction workers who need a safe pass card to return to work and are actively seeking to get back to work in the construction sector.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources to have an independent cost-benefit analysis carried out of the wind energy sector.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
