I welcome officials from the office of the Mayor of Chicago to the Visitors Gallery. They are accompanied by Mr. Brian O'Brien, who is the consul general at the Irish Consulate in Chicago. Mr. Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor of Chicago, is visiting Dublin and Galway. On my behalf, and that of my colleagues in Seanad Éireann, I extend a very warm welcome to them and wish them a very successful visit. Senator Billy Lawless has great connections with Chicago.
Visit of American Delegation
I am sure many of the visiting delegation are familiar with the Senator. Last week, I visited Chicago for the very first time and had a very nice time. I welcome the delegation and hope they have a lovely visit.
