Vol. 260 No. 2

Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O'Connor that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to address the issue of waiting lists for chemotherapy treatment in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

I have also received notice from Senator Tim Lombard of the following matter:

The need for the Minster for Justice and Equality to provide an update on the reopening of the Garda station in Ballinspittle, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Maura Hopkins of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice and Equality to provide an update on the provision of Garda resources in Tarmonbarry, County Roscommon.

The matters raised by Senators Murnane O’Connor and Lombard are suitable for discussion and will be taken now. I regret that I have had to rule out of order the matter submitted by Senator Hopkins on the grounds that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
