I have received notice from Senator Tim Lombard that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for training, skills, innovation, research and development to provide adequate support to transport children living on Sherkin Island to and from school on the mainland.

I have also received notice from Senator Niall Ó Donnghaile of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to provide an update on his Department's practical plans to Brexit proof existing services for Irish citizens resident in the North.

I have also received notice from Senator Neale Richmond of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation to address the delays in processing work permit applications.

I have also received notice from Senator Robbie Gallagher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to provide an update on the status of his Department's review of councillors' terms and conditions.

I have also received notice from Senator Máire Devine of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to outline the plans in place following the collapse of the construction firm MDY, with particular reference to Dolphin Park senior citizens' unit and the primary care centre, both of which are in Rialto, Dublin 8.

I have also received notice from Senator Colm Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to outline the action being taken to increase the availability of therapeutic services in line with current best practice and the growing needs of the students in Scoil Cara junior school, Banduff, Mayfield, Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Anthony Lawlor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to confirm that the number of home care packages in CHO area 7 will be increased to meet current needs.

I have also received notice from Senator Frank Feighan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide an update on the planned central sterile services department for Roscommon University Hospital.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Tim Lombard, Niall Ó Donnghaile, Neale Richmond and Robbie Gallagher and they will be taken now. Senators Máire Devine, Colm Burke, Anthony Lawlor and Frank Feighan may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise. Senator Robbie Gallagher has withdrawn his matter which I had selected for discussion.
