Vol. 264 No. 5

Gnó an tSeanaid - Business of Seanad

I have received notice from Senator Colette Kelleher that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health provide an update on women’s access to surgical abortions in each of the hospital groups where the gestation is between 11 and 12 weeks.

I have also received notice from Senator Kevin Humphreys of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to provide an update on the measures being taken on the BusConnects and MetroLink projects to keep costs within budget.

I have also received notice from Senator Grace O'Sullivan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to make a statement on the number of tree fellings across the country in the past two weeks.

Of the matters raised by the Senators and suitable for discussion, I have selected those proposed by Senators Kelleher and Humphreys. They will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Grace O'Sullivan on the grounds that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter.
