I have received notice from Senator Tim Lombard that, on the Commencement of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with special responsibility for tourism and sport to provide an update on the review of the Wild Atlantic Way, with particular reference to the potential inclusion in the route of Union Hall, County Cork.

I have also received notice from Senator Jennifer Murnane O’Connor of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to provide a status report on the home support services available in counties Carlow and Kilkenny.

I have also received notice from Senator Pádraig Mac Lochlainn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the reopening of the 20 beds in the short stay ward at Letterkenny University Hospital, County Donegal.

I have also received notice from Senator Kieran O’Donnell of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the measures being taken to address overcrowding in the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to make a statement on the engagement between his Department and the National Parks and Wildlife Service on commercial aquaculture licence applications at Ballyness Bay, County Donegal and the progress of these applications to date.

I have also received notice from Senator Máire Devine of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Skills to make a statement on the provision of home tutor hours for children with autism spectrum disorder.

I have also received notice from Senator Kevin Humphreys of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport to make a statement on the purchase by Iarnród Éireann of additional carriages for the intercity network.

I have also received notice from Senator Niall Ó Donnghaile of the following matter:

The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to make a statement on the requirement for passport controls or other forms of photo ID in operation for Irish and British citizens in travelling between Ireland and the United Kingdom and potential changes anticipated in these controls as a result of Brexit.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Lombard, Murnane O'Connor, Mac Lochlainn and Kieran O'Donnell and they will be taken now. Senators Ó Domhnaill, Devine, Humphreys and Ó Donnghaile may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise. Senator Kieran O'Donnell has withdrawn his Commencement matter which I had selected for discussion.
