I have received notice from Senator Maria Byrne that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the shortage of neurology nurse specialists in University Hospital Limerick.

I have also received notice from Senator Barry Ward of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Defence to make a statement on the provision of funding for a national sail training vessel to replace Asgard II.

I have also received notice from Senator Robbie Gallagher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on the provision of a new fire station in Ballybay, County Monaghan.

I have also received notice from Senator John Cummins of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Protection to remove receipt of disablement benefit as a disqualifying criterion for eligibility for the winter fuel allowance for those persons who meet the income means test.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion and they will be taken now.
