I have notice from Senators Lisa Chambers, Erin McGreehan, Fiona O'Loughlin and Catherine Ardagh that, on the motion for the Commencement of the House today, they propose to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to make a statement on the timelines for the publication and implementation of the new national strategy on domestic, sexual and gender-based violence in light of the recent tragic killing of Ashling Murphy.

I have also received notice from Senator Paul Gavan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage to make a statement on his Department's policy for local authorities to lease properties and the number of vacant properties currently owned by Limerick City and County Council.

I have also received notice from Senator John McGahon of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works to provide an update on the Dundalk, Blackrock south and Ardee flood relief schemes.

I have also received notice from Senator Regina Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to put arrangements in place for a hybrid model for the 2022 leaving certificate examination.

I have also received notice from Senator Mary Fitzpatrick of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the proposed location from September 2022 for Gaelscoil Áine, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

I have also received notice from Senator Martin Conway of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine to introduce a requirement that applicants for tree-felling licences be subject to a road condition survey.

I have also received notice from Senator Maria Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to clarify whether the new income based scheme for the arts, culture and performance sectors replaces the jobseeker's arrangements.

I have also received notice from Senator Marie Sherlock of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make a statement on the provision of funding in 2022 to the north inner city drug and alcohol task force.

I have also received notice from Senator Tim Lombard of the following matter:

The need for the Minister of State with responsibility for planning and local government to make a statement on the opening hours of public amenities, in particular the opening hours for Dunmanway municipal swimming pool in County Cork.

Of the matters raised by the Senators that are suitable for discussion, I have selected those of Senators Chambers, McGreehan, O'Loughlin and Ardagh who will be sharing time, Malcolm Byrne, Boyhan, Gavan, McGahon and Doherty, and they will be taken now. I regret I have had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Lombard as the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
