I wish to refer to the call for a minute's silence made by Senator Craughwell. He outlined the service and sacrifice made by Private Kedian who died on 31 May 1999 at his post in southern Lebanon when that post came under artillery and mortar attack. During that action Lieutenant Morgan, Sergeant Spellman, Private Carr and Private Clarke distinguished themselves in their attempts to save the life of a member of the Defence Forces - Private Kedian. I ask Members to be upstanding for a minute's silence in memory of Private Kedian.
