I mentioned the Maritime Museum in Cobh as a national museum. I hope it also receives consideration for any items or artefacts found at sea. I understand that the director of the National Museum is the premier director of museums in Ireland but I hope other museums will receive a fair distribution of those items found at sea and that they are not confined to Dublin.

I agree with Deputy Kemmy that it is a matter of public importance, but it is for the director of the National Museum to decide what would be of interest.
