SELECT COMMITTEE ON ENVIRONMENT AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT díospóireacht -
Wednesday, 21 Jun 2006

Business of Select Committee.

I have received apologies from Deputy Haughey. This meeting has been convened for the purpose of the consideration of Committee Stage of the Planning and Development (Strategic Infrastructure) Bill 2006, a Bill which was referred to the select committee by order of the Dáil on 14 June. I welcome Deputy Roche, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, and his officials to this meeting.

I suggest we consider the Bill until 1.30 p.m. before adjourning to allow the Minister to attend another engagement. We could then reconvene at 4.30 p.m. and continue consideration of the Bill until 7 p.m. We can then review the situation with a view to continuing until 8.30 p.m. at that point. Is that agreed? Agreed.
