I move amendment No. 36:
In page 26, subsection (5), line 23, after "1869" to insert ", or of the Harbours Act, 1996, as the case may be".
Section 28(5) provides that an order transferring land from a statutory body to the Dublin Docklands Development Authority can declare the land involved to be no longer within the limits of the Harbour of Dublin and Port of Dublin within the meaning of section 2 of the Dublin Port and Docks Act, 1869. This will ensure that port bylaws will not continue to apply to land over which the Dublin Port and Docks Board no longer has control. This is a technical amendment to allow the terms of section 28(5) to continue to have effect after a harbour company for Dublin Harbour is established under the Harbours Act, 1996.
