SELECT COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC ENTERPRISE AND TRANSPORT díospóireacht -
Wednesday, 12 May 1999

Vol. 2 No. 3

Business of Select Committee.

I welcome the Minister for Public Enterprise and her officials to the meeting. The Radiological Protection Bill has been referred to the committee and it has been suggested that we should take evidence from certain groups including CAI, RPAI and the Department of Health and Children before taking Committee Stage. If members are prepared to agree to that we will request submissions as proposed in our guidelines and the witnesses will then be allowed to give oral evidence. The date proposed for that joint committee meeting is Thursday, 27 May at 3 p.m. We are due to meet representatives from the Western Development Commission at 2 p.m. on that day and we could take the other witnesses at 3 p.m. We are the busiest committee in the House. Is that agreed? Agreed.

Will these organisations be producing written submissions?
