Special Committee Dairy Produce Bill, 1924 díospóireacht -
Thursday, 20 Nov 1924

SECTION 17.

No cream shall be supplied from any premises registered in the register of creameries or the register of cream-separating stations unless either it was separated from milk on the premises by means of centrifugal force applied by mechanical power from the commingled milk supplies of a number of cow-keepers or was supplied to the premises from other premises registered in the register of creameries or the register of cream-separating stations.

I propose " to delete in line 66 the word ‘ supplied,' and to substitute therefor the words ‘ sold on or consigned from.'" I take it the Minister wants to govern all cream issuing from these cream-separating stations.

If we put in the words " sold " or " consigned," it would not include the case of an auxiliary supplying milk to its principal.

Would it make it any clearer?

We want to cover the case of an auxiliary supplying its principal as well as supplying others.

It includes sale?

I think it does.

Very well. I withdraw the amendment.
