Chairperson

First, I should like to thank the members of the committee for their co-operation in agreeing to the postponement of yesterday's meeting, which had been previously agreed at our last meeting of the committee. When the clerk rang around the various personnel he got a great level of co-operation. They understood that yesterday was Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement and that two of our members would have been unable to be present

Since our last meeting, our clerk Jane Mathews, has gone to the Joint Committee on Commercial State-Sponsored Bodies and we have a new clerk, Dick Caffrey.
