199 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children when he intends to provide for the upgrading of facilities at St. Brendan's mental hospital, Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1914/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe provision for the upgrading of health facilities at the Grangegorman site together with accommodation for the Dublin Institute of Technology will be addressed in the context of last year's Government decision relating to the overall development of the site. That decision provides for the establishment of a statutory body to be called the Grangegorman Development Agency. My colleague, the Minister for Education and Science, has been given responsibility for drafting the necessary legislation to establish the agency. I understand that the preparation of the Bill is at an advanced stage.
