202 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Transport the Government's views of demands by the US authorities that armed air marshals should be deployed on aircraft flying to the United States; if a specific request has been received from the US authorities that air marshals should be deployed on flights originating in this jurisdiction; if his attention has been drawn to the concerns expressed by pilots and others that such a move may actually increase the danger to passengers; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
