242 Ms Burton asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the appointments made by him to all companies, boards or agencies operating under the aegis of his Department since 6 June 2002; the persons appointed; and the dates on which the appointments were made. [6279/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraA number of different processes are involved in appointments made to bodies under the aegis of my Department. In some cases statutory selection procedures must be followed or nominations must be sought from independent nominating panels before appointments are made by the Government or by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. In other cases only particular public office holders may be appointed to certain boards. In a number of situations, only some appointments to the body concerned are made by the Minister.
Subject to the above, the details sought in the question are listed in the following table.
