103 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the position in regard to efforts to settle the industrial dispute involving members of the Prison Officers’ Association; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6215/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraDiscussions between the Irish Prison Service and the Prison Officers' Association are taking place at the Labour Relations Commission with the assistance of a facilitator. As these discussions are still ongoing, the Deputy will appreciate that it would be inappropriate for me to comment in detail on progress at this time. I very much hope that agreement can be reached in the discussions.
