137 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in providing treatment for throat cancer for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if there is a waiting list for such patients; the action he is taking in the matter; if treatment will be expedited for this person; the action he will take in this case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of hospital services for people resident in County Kilkenny is a matter for the South Eastern Health Board.

My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the South Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
