232 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Finance the future of the OPW services operated from a site (details supplied); the length of time the OPW will continue to work from this location; and the consultation that has taken place with staff on the future of the site. [6570/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe services operated from the site in question will be relocated to alternative premises. It is intended that the services will be located in premises which are currently being sourced and which will be as close as possible to the existing location. The location of the service in the longer term will have to be considered in the context of the announcement regarding decentralisation by the Minister for Finance in his budget speech. It is envisaged that the site will be handed over to Dublin City Council in July this year. Discussions have taken place with trade unions representing staff and further consultations will take place, as appropriate, regarding the proposed new location and other details of the transfer.
