226 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of employees who have been employed on contract by the Western Health Board in 2002, 2003 and 2004; the number taken on through an agency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7233/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe chief executive officer of each health board-authority is responsible for the management of the workforce in his-her region, including the employment of staff on a contract or agency basis. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the matters raised by the Deputy and reply to her directly.
