130 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if a conservation ranger for north County Dublin has yet been recruited through the Civil Service and Local Appointments Commissioners as referred to in correspondence to this Deputy on 10 October 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Civil Service and Local Appointments Commissioners were requested some months ago by my Department to hold a public competition to fill this and other conservation ranger vacancies in the national parks and wildlife service. While the commissioners exercise this function independently, they have been asked to expedite the matter.
