Upon the appointment of a Deputy to an office holding position, such Dáil secretarial assistants may be appointed as employees of the relevant office holder's Department and are then paid from the relevant Department Vote. The information above relates to payments to Ms McCreevy in her capacity as personal secretary to the Minister for Finance.
