71 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the way in which he proposes to allocate funding available under modulation; when that will commence; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9264/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraThe EU Commission has indicated that modulated funds will be available for use from 2006. Discussions are continuing at EU level on the detailed rules for eligible measures. On their completion, I will consult interested parties on the use of modulated funds. While the various options demand due consideration, I am confident that a decision will be taken well in advance of the 2006 deadline.
