183 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism when he received an application from South Dublin County Council for grant aid for the development of a new swimming pool in west Tallaght; when the Department will be in a position to make a positive decision in respect of this application so that the local authority can invite tenders for the development; and if he will make a statement on the matter. South Dublin County Council applied for approval of contract documents for a proposed new swimming pool in Jobstown in west Tallaght under the local authority swimming pool programme last year. The council has also applied for grant aid for the replacement of the swimming pool at Clondalkin. The contract documents for this project are under consideration in my Department.
