304 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the process by which organised personation in a specific area might be further investigated in the context of the election results of June 2004; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20833/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraElectoral offences such as personation are set out in the Electoral Acts 1997 to 2002. If an offence of the type referred to by the Deputy was reported to the Garda authorities, it would be thoroughly investigated by the gardaí in the usual way. If the Deputy has information relating the commission of such an offence he should contact the gardaí immediately.
