199 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the number of public servants employed in his Department who are paid by cheque; and the number who are paid electronically; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21046/04]
Amharc ar fhreagraIn my Department 141 members of staff are paid by cheque and 716 are paid electronically. Since 1 October 2003, all new entrants to the Department are paid electronically and all staff have been consistently supported and encouraged to move to electronic funds transfer where their personal circumstances allow.
