944 Mr. O’Dowd asked the Minister for Health and Children the action he is taking to resolve the accident and emergency crisis in the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, at which nurses are wearing protest badges due to lack of resources, nursing staff, portering staff and clerical cover. Responsibility for the provision of services at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, rests with the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, requested the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter and to reply directly to the Deputy.
