323 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason an application for a special needs assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny has not been responded to; if the current circumstances of this person will be examined without delay; if a response will be expedited; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI wish to advise the Deputy that my Department has approved a special needs assistant for 12.5 hours per week to support the pupil in question. The school authorities have recently been informed of this decision.
